Welcome to the 2021-22 School Year!

Principal Welcome Video

Dear Casillas Families:

The last school year proved to be the most unexpected and interesting year due to the global pandemic.  We did not anticipate the major changes to our school environment to last for the duration of the school year; however, if there’s one thing we’ve all learned throughout this unprecedented experience is that things are ever-changing and we had to adapt.  Our Casillas community came together, and we made the best of it.  The 20-21 school year underscored the importance of and strengthened the home-to-school bond and that is just one of the many positives that have come out of this experience.  The Casillas staff thanks our families for their continued patience and ongoing support.  We couldn’t have done it without you!

We are excited to announce that we will return to a full reopening with in-person instruction for the 2021-22 school year.  We will return to some sense of normality with enhanced safety measures as we are still fighting to put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We will do our best to resume most of our regular activities and events again, with the enhanced measures in place.  We ask for your continued grace as we work to adjust to the current environment.

We will continue to teach, support, and encourage our students as they accomplish great things and grow.  Our core values of caring, honesty, perseverance, respect, and responsibility will support the learning journey.  Yet again, together, we will see this unique year through.  Thank you for being a part of the Casillas family!

Sincerely,

Nicole Adams-Walker, Ed.D.
