Casillas Elementary School will prepare all students to be literate and responsible citizens with an enthusiasm for life-long learning. Through the implementation of a rigorous, standards-based academic program, Casillas students will be prepared to confidently meet the challenges of middle and high school.

To better serve our families and community, in the 2025-26 school year, the Chula Vista Elementary School District debuted redesigned websites with numerous improvements in accessibility and navigation, as well as a new Chatbot to provide real-time and after hours support.

The Continuing Student Enrollment process for the 2026–27 school year is now open for all returning students in the Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD).

At the May 20, 2026, Board of Education Meeting, the Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) adopted a resolution designating May 2026 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District’s (CVESD) Sound Station received the Innovate Honorable Mention Award from the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) during the 23rd Annual Innovation in Education Awards ceremony on May 14, 2026.
